March 21, 2018:
Once again we have another Nor'Easter bearing down upon the region. State of Emergency has been declared by NJ and all State offices are closed. High winds and heavy snow expected. NJ schools in the path of the storm and all NYC schools are closed. PMC's Hazlet office will be open this morning for final storm preparation and then we will operate and dispatch remotely for this afternoon and evening. Please stay off the roads if you are able to and let the road and emergency crews do their jobs. Thank you and stay safe out there, hopefully this is will be the last snowstorm for us this year!
March 7, 2018:
PMC's Hazlet office will be open during today's Nor' Easter. We're expecting a foot plus of snow in some of the areas to the north and west of here, so please take it slow on the roads if you have to be out, so the plow crews and first responders can get to where they need to. To all of our mission critical customers, we're available as always for emergency service needs. Please contact the phone number or email address provided with your service contract, or if you're not sure how to reach us call our main number and follow the prompts for emergency service. Be safe out there!

Happy 2018! Despite blizzard conditions in coastal New Jersey today, PMC's Hazlet office is open, and as always, emergency support personnel is on-call for our mission-critical customers' service needs. The State has declared a state of emergency in the coastal counties, so please stay off the roads if you are able to. For the many customers of ours that have to be out in this weather, please stay warm and be safe out there!

Everyone from NYSP, NJSP, PANYNJ, NYPD, FDNY and DHS that is headed down with equipment and personnel, we thank you for your service and for representing our region so bravely and proudly. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the South Texas area being affected by Hurricane Harvey and its remnants, especially our friends at Tait Communications in Houston and all the brave First Responders from Houston and beyond that are working selflessly and tirelessly to save as many people as possible from the rising floodwaters. If you are in a position to help, please consider donating to one of the many fine organizations that has moved into the region to support rescue and recovery efforts, such as Americares, American Red Cross, The Salvation Army, or Save the Children, or any other charity you feel comfortable working with. All of us at PMC Associates are in mourning over the loss of Trooper Joel Davis of the NYSP. Trooper Davis, who was shot and killed on July 9th had previously served with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. He, his family and all of his colleagues are in our hearts and prayers.

All of us at PMC Associates are in mourning over the loss of Police Officer Miosotis Familia of the 46th Precinct Anti-Crime Team. She, her family and partners at the 4-6 are in our hearts and prayers.

This new technology allows portable radios to seamlessly roam between LMR P25, LTE or WiFi, whenever the primary P25 radio signal is compromised or unavailable (such as inside buildings or outside a coverage area). IWCE 2016 show wrap up: IWCE was great this year, with lots of exciting new products and educational sessions. Some points of interest fro the show were:
-PMC's own Bryan Casciano spoke on a panel that highlighted the use cases and operational benefits of incorporating rapidly-deployable communications assets for public safety to use in disaster response situations.
-At its North American Channel Partner meeting, Vertex Standard introduced two (2) new DMR portable radios and awarded PMC Associates its Top Dealer Award for 2015, which we were honored to receive.
-Mutualink demonstrated its Edge platform to enable the sharing of radio, voice, video, data and text communications, within and among agencies and jurisdictions.
-Tait Communicationis demonstrated its UnifyVoice solution, which provides PTT capability over any available communications network, including LMR, cellular and WiFi.

Attention New Jersey Public Safety Community:
The New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness along with JerseyNet Broadband Communication will be presenting an Orientation to Broadband Technology course. Day & Evening training will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM at the Somerset County Emergency Services Training Academy, located at 402 Roycefield Road, Hillsborough NJ, 08844.
The (3) three-hour program will provide a general overview of the FirstNet development and the integration of JerseyNet. The course will discuss the development of JerseyNet, deployable systems, areas of coverage, and the transition from public safety P25 systems to LTE. The course will explain how the components such as: microwave networking, satellite and WiFi, Systems on Wheels (SOWs) and Cell on Wheels (COWs), Mutualink, Sonim phone devices, and rack mounted systems will be used to develop a more effective common operating picture. Network case studies are presented in videos to better understand how the JerseyNet communication network system will be used in day-to-day operations. The program will conclude with a practical exercise.
The briefing is for all first responders and potential end users. Spaces are limited and pre-registration is required.

An Orientation to Broadband Technology is being held by the NJ Office of Homeland Security & Preparedness and JerseyNet Broadband Communication on Wednesday, February 17. The training will be held at the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy in Morristown, NJ.
